News: Younis Khan will not play Pakistan's national Twenty20 championship. He is set free to play for South Australia.
Younis Khan (30) is a young and experienced batsman, presently doubtful for the upcoming international Twenty20 match series. This series is scheduled to be played in Toronto. Other participating countries include Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Canada.
Zakr Khan, who is the director of operations of Pakistan Cricket Board, told that Younis is legally permitted because he took clearance from PCB before signing for agreement with South Australia.He is committed and obliged to make himself available when required to perform for nation.
Younis will be the single eminent Pakistani cricketer who would not play the Twenty20 domestic tournament. The series would be played in October.
Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has now been allowed by the PCB to participate in that tournament. He has been fined and would pay seven-million-rupee (US$247,600).
