Andrew Symonds has been excluded of Australia's 15-man team. The team has been announced for a four-Test cricket match series of India.
Andrew Hilditch is the chairman of the Selection committee. He talked to the newsmen on Friday. He said that Symonds was sent home, while the limited-overs series was going on against Bangladesh. Symonds opted to go fishing rather participating a team meeting.
That is the series which held last month.
Andrew Symonds was taken into account for disciplinary matters in Darwin. He is being dealt by Cricket Australia. He is going through a legal process. This will give him much time to make self assessment about his behavior. He should see whether he is sufficiently devoted to all of the requirements what a cricketer should have to be a part of the world's number one team.
This was stated by Hilditch.
Cricket Australia has stated that members of the selection team will be suggested that Andrew should be given careful consideration to be selected again. We expect we should wait to that suggestion at the appropriate time. The reason is as we all aware of a fact that a perfectly fit and devoted Andrew Symonds could prove to be a world’s best beater.
Shane Watson is the Queensland allrounder. He was taken in the touring team as his substitute. As we know that Symond has the middle-order expertise with the bat. He also has the ability to give both off-spin and medium pace deliveries. All these peculiarities will be highly missed by the Australians.
Bryce McGain was also nominated in the side.
There is a big chance of his of becoming Australia's frontline Test spinner at the age of 36. Hilditch stated that he anticipates Captain Ricky Ponting and Matthew Hayden to recover from their injuries. If happened so, they would be able to participate in the tour beginning on the October, 9 in Bangalore. The venue selected for the remaining Test matches are Mohali, Delhi and Nagpur.
Both of these good cricketers missed the limited-overs match series which was played against Bangladesh. In that series Michael Clarke was stand-in captain. He contributed Australia to three Successive wins. Some other changes in the team included Jason Krejza (Tasmania spinner) and Peter Siddle (Victoria state paceman).
