The senior players of England cricket team showed their deep concerns over the security conditions in Pakistan. They decided to revolt against their cricket board who are stressing them to visit Pakistan for Champions Trophy; they threatened to boycott them.
Earlier the news came about Australian players who also expressed same apprehensions over cricket series in Pakistan. Both are forming a front with their Australian counterparts.
The ICC is much satisfied with the security situations and arrangements for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan till now; as their senior officials visited Pakistan some days before.
Contrary to all these efforts and satisfactory findings, it is reported by the English media that the senior players of England team are unwilling to go there.
England and Australian teams are currently in West Indies. Daily Telegraph reported that some sort of conversation is going on between the two and both team players are tending to take combined action on this issue.
A newspaper published the statement without mentioning the name of English players. It is read as;
"The Aussies have already come out and expressed their concerns. I'm not a big fan of going to Pakistan. I just hope it won't be us players who get left to make the decision in the end"
The security expert Reg Dickason will be sent by Australian authorities to Pakistan to assess the current security situations soon.
His findings will also be reported to English board.
New Zealand Cricket CEO Justin Vaughan is also reported to visit England in the coming next week to have a conversation over this increasingly serious issue.
He will talk with the English authorities and will try to resolve this matter.
Australian team captain Ricky Ponting also affirmed the reports and said that some of his fellow players are worried about visiting Pakistan.
