SEARCH

Now the news are moving around in Pakistan cricket circles that the European boards have planned to move the on coming September’s Champions Trophy to some other country.

The International Cricket Council has planned to solve this dispute by the consensus of all cricket boards. The meeting is going to be held on Thursday in which it will be decided whether Pakistan is safe to host and conduct eight-nation tournament or not.

The cricket countries which are opposing Pakistan hosting are Australia, England, South Africa and New Zealand. Their senior players and other regulating authorities have already conveyed their message to ICC by passing their comments on different occasions that they might not participate in the tournament if it be held in Pakistan.

Pakistan Cricket Board thinks that the cricket countries outside from the subcontinent are the major opponents. These countries are forcing ICC to move the tournament to any other country.

The recommended countries are South Africa and England. They said that their players will not be safe in Pakistan. Even now Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed the news that boards of white countries are striving hard to move Champions Trophy away from Pakistan. They have the solid base of security concerns.

The six-nation Asia Cup held in Pakistan was a real success. Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates participated in that tournament. Despite of the bomb blast in Islamabad on the same day when the final was being played couldn’t discourage the people from coming into the stadium.

The final was held in Karachi. This single incident not much influenced on the Champions Trophy. But a blast in Karachi just after few days once again raised again the fears of security.
